<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new high-performance light limiting material which is hardly damaged due to heat generation even when the material is irradiated with intense laser light, which is reversible, which stably develops an excellent light limiting effect, and which can be easily manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: The light limiting material consists of a transparent substrate and oxides of at least one kind of metal selected from among Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Nb, Mo, Ru, In, Sn, Sb, Ta, W, Re, Os, Ir and Bi (but except VO2).</p> |
