ANTISENNOSIDE B MONOCLONAL ANTIIBODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple analysis means of sennoside B (SB) which is a principal glycoside included in a medicinal plant such as Rhubarb. SOLUTION: This monoclonal antibody belongs to a subclass of IgG2b or IgG1, has aκlight chain and specifically reacts with SB. The antibody is prepared by selectively culturing a hybridoma obtained by fusing myeloma cells with antibody-producing cells of an animal (preferably, a mouse) immunized with an SB-serum albumin complex obtained by reacting BS with a bovine or human albumin in the presence of EDC, screening and cloning the hybridoma capable of producing the monoclonal antibody against SB. It is possible to simply and quantitatively determine SB in high sensitivity by applying an immunity-measuring method such as ELISA method or the like to the monoclonal antibody.
