PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and circuit for effectively setting a threshold to a symbol timing detection circuit for OFDM signal demodulation even if the rate of noise power to reception signal power is increased, and the peak of correlation is recessed. SOLUTION: In the symbol timing detection circuit for OFDM demodulation, the threshold is given to a detection circuit 20 of a peak value and its position by a threshold-setting circuit 21. The threshold is not fixed, and is adaptively set according to the detected peak value.
