PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical access device in which alignment with optical axis is easily performed at low cost, without setting a special mechanism against slider vibration due to tracking and float-traveling, and that thereby obtains stable optical output. SOLUTION: This is a device for introducing light from a light source 18 to a floating head device 12 through an optical system 201 and for accessing an optical recording medium by means of the floating head device. The features of the access device are such that the floating head device is equipped with a floating slider 16 of a floating body and with a proximity light generating means 17 mounted on the floating slider; that the optical system is for guiding light from the light source to the proximity light generating means; and that the cross section Sa of an optical flux made incident on the proximity light generating means includes its optical incident port Sb and possesses an area wider than the optical incident port Sb. |
