PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent shortening of a focal distance for visually recognizing measuring instruments located on a vehicular rear end of a dashboard such as a traveling speedometer even when the dashboard is extended backward of a vehicle body in order to accommodate a display source for head up display or the like. SOLUTION: An image light of an image for superposing displayed on a display surface 51a of a display source 51 is projected on a windshield 3 and virtual images S1 and S3 of the image for superposing are superposed with a foreground of the vehicle through the windshield 3 by a projection unit 5 for auxiliary information. For accommodating the projection unit 5 in the dashboard 1, a reflection mirror 71 is placed on a front surface 1c of the dashboard 1 instead of a display source for the measuring instrument information and an image for visual recognition of measuring instrument information displayed on a display surface 73a of the display source 73 for an image of the measuring instrument placed on a steering column 9 nearer to a driver than the front surface 1c of the dashboard 1 is reflected by a reflection mirror 71 so that a virtual image S on the reflection mirror 71 can be visually recognized from eyepoints I1 and I3.
