PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polychloroprene latex composition having excellent discoloration resistance, and aqueous adhesives used thereof. SOLUTION: The polychloroprene latex composition comprises chloroprenepolymer, scaly silica, and fine particles of metal oxide. Preferably the polychloroprene latex composition comprises as essential components chloroprenepolymer and composite particles of silica-metal oxides, wherein the composite particles are formed by carrying fine particles of metal oxide on aggregate of primary particles of scaly silica.
