METHOD FOR ENHANCED SPLIT INJECTION IN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES

Thereafter, the engine (12) is operated in the idle normal mode, and at that time, the split injection status is enabled without subjection to a time limit while the engine (12) operates in the idle normal mode and the engine (12) operating temperature falls below the temperature threshold to enhance cold temperature operation. Otherwise, when the operating temperature exceeds the temperature threshold during idle normal mode, the split injection status is disabled.
