A procedure for the vehicle control during a tyre pressure loss whereby it is recognized whether in at least one tyre a pressure loss has occurred and with a recognized pressure loss, the travel speed of the vehicle is limited, is described. The threshold value for the limiting of the travel speed is dependent upon the route covered and/or the past running time since the occurrence of the fault. With a recognized tyre pressure loss the maximum covered range and/or maximum running time is calculated with the tyre with a reduced air pressure. The maximum value is indicated to the driver.
