PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the formation of an opening section is hindered and cost is increased. SOLUTION: A vibration-control structure in a steel-constructed building is composed of studs built among girders and post jointings constructed among the studs and columns and among the adjacent studs, the studs are used as absorbing members 6, 6a, etc., and the post jointings nearest to the corner sections of frames in the post jointings are inclined and used as deformation- working members 7, 7a, etc., while the outer end sections of the members 7, 7a, etc., are fixed at the crossed sections of the columns and the girders. The studs, the absorbing members 6, 6a, etc., are flexural-yielding under the state of small deformation before the yielding of the columns and the girders by the inclination of the building by an earthquake, and the energy of the earthquake is absorbed by hysteresis due to the flexural yielding. That is, the vibration-control structure is built by utilizing nonstructural members such as the studs, post jointings, etc., which have been used in the frames for constructing a wall.
