<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch pipe fitting mechanism to serve for the replacing works for existing pipes to be conducted without interrupting the fluid feed in the pipes, whereby it is practicable to seal the inside surfaces of the pipes upon inserting valve elements into the fitting and/or pipes and shut of the fluid properly in a short time. SOLUTION: The branch pipe fitting mechanism includes housings 2 and 3 split in a plurality of segments in the circumferential direction, and at least either of the housings 2 and 3 is provided with a branching port 4 having the same or different bore as/from the main pipe 1 to be connected, and a resilient seal 7 is formed in a lip shape which is split in the same manner as the split housing, and a coupling means is provided in such a way as straddling the two housings. Further a shutter mechanism is provided in the part with branching port 4, while a rotation preventing mechanism and an axial direction movement preventing mechanism are installed for the main pipe 1.</p> |
