The uplink and downlink transmission system for a cellular telephone service includes allocation of additional resources in real time. This allocation is indicated by the use of a field within a specific frame, indicating the number of frames later when the additional resource will be available in the corresponding field of that later frame. The procedure provides transmission of data in real time, in packets between a network and a mobile terminal. The transmission is effected in a number of multi-frames, each comprising a predetermined number of data blocks. At least some of the blocks or the headers of these frames are provided with supplementary fields for requests and allocation of particular radio resources. Such resources may be reserved for the transmission of the signaling message and/or control blocks. The attribution or the reservation of one or more particular additional resources is specified by indicating in the corresponding field of a header of a previous frame, the number of frames separating this frame from the later frame comprising the block enclosing the signaling message and/or the corresponding control block.
