PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always provide the latest URL about the homepage that is corresponding or related to the input character strings. SOLUTION: A translation server 102 is connected to a client 101 via a network and provided with a transmission/reception part 808 which receives the input character strings from the client 101, a translation dictionary storage part 809 which stores a record containing the character strings showing a homepage corresponding or related to the reading character strings and phonetic read of these character strings and the URL of the homepage, an available period storage part 811 which stores the available period of every record, a validity decision part 812 which decides validity/invalidity of every record by comparing the available period with the current data and also the part 808 which transmits an effective record having coincidence between the input character strings and reading character strings to the client 101.
