METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DUST AND FUME REMOVAL IN LASER MARKING MACHINES

Aspects for dust and fume removal for a laser marking machine (16) are presented. In a system aspect, the system includes a vacuum assembly (20, 22 and 24) operating in accordance with the Coanda Effect to remove dust and fumes from a laser marking machine (16) through suction. The system further includes a control mechanism coupled to the vacuum assembly (20, 22 and 24) for turning the vacuum assembly (20, 22 and 24) on and off. A drainage system (28 and 30), coupled to the vacuum assembly (20, 22 and 24), discards the dust and fumes from the vacuum assembly (20, 22 and 24) away from a facility housing the laser marking machine (16).
