PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system which displays a list of registered homepages in an area of an address when an information retrieving person specifies the address with an easy operation procedure. SOLUTION: Retrieval conditions narrowed down to the specific area are supplied from a computer of a user as the information retrieving person to a server (1) of an information distributor through the sequential repetition of a prefecture name, a city name, a town name, and a street name (areas prescribed 7 digits of a zip code) and then the server (1) extracts homepages which are present and originate in the town area and sends them back to the user computer of the information retrieving person. When one of pieces of displayed information is clicked with a mouse, the information is displayed as a target homepage by connecting to the server of the information provider.
