PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical matrix switch, with which miniaturization and cost reduction can be attained and further, a large number of times of free switching connections between optical lines can be provided by decreasing an optical loss with a comparatively a little contacts. SOLUTION: Concerning an N×M optical matrix switch 10 configured by connecting the connecting ports of respective unit optical switches 21a and 21b after respectively selecting one of N output side connecting ports 15b of M unit optical switches 21a collected in a first switch unit 11 and one of M input side connecting ports 16a of N unit optical switches 21b collected in a second switch unit 12 and connecting these selected ports, when N and M are the same number, an N×M matrix switch is configured. |
