PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image on the entire surface of a recording medium 200 without polluting the inside of a recording device. SOLUTION: A platen 600 is provided with ink receiving parts 601, 602 formed so as to be disposed along the outer rim of a recording medium 200 in the state with the recording medium 200 held at a predetermined position. By guiding the recording medium 200 to a position facing a recording head 502, and ejecting an ink from the recording head 502 in a range slightly larger than the recording medium 200 for recording, the ink ejected off the recording medium 200 is absorbed in the ink receiving parts 601, 602. Therefore, an image can be formed on the entire surface of the recording medium 200 without producing a margin or polluting the inside of the recording device. |
