PURPOSE: A frame for supporting a tension mask of a cathode ray tube is provided to prevent curvature deformation of a mask by forming separately a mask welding portion and a mask curvature sustain portion on a support member of a frame. CONSTITUTION: A tension mask(18) is fixed to a frame(20) by tensioning the tension mask(18) to a vertical direction of a screen. The frame includes a couple of support members(22) and a couple of strong members(24) combined with the support member(22). The strong members(24) face a long side portion of the tension mask(18). The support member(22) has a predetermined curvature to a horizontal direction facing the long side portion of the tension mask. The tension mask(18) has the curvature since the tension mask(18) is fixed to the support member(22). A mask curvature sustain portion(26) and a mask welding portion(28) higher than the support member(22) are formed toward the tension mask(18). In addition, the mask curvature sustain portion(26) is higher than the mask welding portion(28).
