PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device where the time required for access operation between different layers is shortened. SOLUTION: When access from a first radial position (a first address) of a first layer provided in an optical disk to a second radial position (a second address) of a second layer of the same, is required, an irradiation point of a light beam is made to track-jump from the first radial position to the second radial position simultaneously with timing of layer jumping of the irradiation point of the light beam the first layer to the second layer.
