PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly of pneumatic radial tire and rim possible to achieve to lighten tire weight and reduce rolling resistance, to prevent tire from degradation of adhesion strength and break of filament, and to keep tire performance a good condition. SOLUTION: In an assembly of pneumatic tire and rim in which a pneumatic radial tire with radial carcass layer 2, inner liner 5, tread 4 and belt layer 3 are inserted into the rim 6 applied on the tire, the belt layer 3 consists of belt ply in which steel mono-filaments are laid into covering rubber in parallel in the width direction, and the filling gas in the tire includes more than 95% of nitrogen gas or/and inert gas by partial pressure.
