The invention relates to a waterproof vapour-permeable shoe as well as to a process for manufacturing the same. According to the invention, the vapour-permeable shoe is characterized in that it has the following combination of elements: a vapour-permeable shoe-upper (11, 101, 201, 311, 401, 511, 611, 711) associated with a vapour-permeable or perforated lining (12, 102, 202, 312, 402, 512, 612, 712), a tread sole (13, 103, 203, 313, 403, 503, 603, 702) made of perforated elastomer, a mid-sole (14, 104, 204, 314, 404) comprising at least one membrane (15, 105, 205, 315, 405, 515, 615, 715) made of waterproof vapour-permeable material associated with a lower protective layer (16, 106, 206, 316, 406, 516, 616, 716) made of hydrolysis-resistant material, a vapour-permeable or perforated insole (17, 107, 207, 317, 407, 517, 617, 717) and a vapour-permeable filler layer (18, 108, 208, 318, 408, 518, 618, 718), where the lower part of the shoe-upper, the tread sole, the mid-sole and the membrane are joined and sealed perimetrically. The claimed shoe manufacturing process is characterized in that it comprises the manufacturing of the shoe-upper and the combination thereof with the lining, the manufacturing of the sole elements, namely the tread sole, membrane, protective layer, insole and filler layer, the borders thereof being further sandwiched, joined and perimetrically sealed afterwards.
