PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which large recording capacity. The thickness t of the light-transmitting layer 12 is controlled to 10 to 177 μm, and variance Δt in the thickness of the light transmitting layer 12, the numerical aperture N.A. of the lens in the optical system for reproducing or recording and reproducing the optical recording medium, and the wavelength λ of laser light satisfy the relation of |Δt| <=5.26(λ/N.A.4) (μm). |
