The locking insert takes a form of a metal sleeve (10) provided with internal thread (11) and two flanges (13) with teeth. The sleeve has two wall sections dented inwards to such an extent that the sleeve thread is frictionally engaged with the thread (701) of the fastening screw (70). The sleeve has two wall sections dented inwards to such an extent that the sleeve thread is frictionally engaged with the thread (701) of the fastening screw (70). The sleeve is further provided with a tightly fitting ring-shaped plastic jacket (20) which leaves a space between the inwardly dented sleeve sections and the inner surface of the jacket. The purpose of this space is to allow outward elastic expansion of these sleeve sections to take place during entry of the fastening screw.
