PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for document management capable of reducing labor of a document writer and a document reader and easily and efficiently distributing the document written by the document writer. SOLUTION: A document management server 1 generates browsing data on the basis of document data produced by a client (document writer) 2-y and outputs the document on demand for an output by a client (document reader) 2-x who determines whether the output is necessary or not the basis of the browsing data.
