PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an image and a device for image formation showing satisfactory halftone and reproducibility of characters by using an organic electrophotographic photoreceptor, having a siloxane resin layer as the protective layer. SOLUTION: In the method for forming an image, having a photoreceptor and a developer carrying body which faces the photoreceptor and has a magnet body having a plurality of magnetic poles inside with the main magnetic pole as one of the magnetic poles disposed in the developing zone near the position, where the developer carrying body is nearest the photoreceptor, the photoreceptor is an organic electrophotographic photoreceptor, having a siloxane resin layer as the protective layer. The nearest distance (Dsd) between the photoreceptor and the developer carrying body and the carrying amount (a) of the developer per unit area on the developer carrying body satisfy the inequality (1). |
