PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the excellent display quality level by eliminating the influence of a back gate phenomenon and the influence of other caused by a light shielding film in an electrode substrate for a display device used as an array substrate of an active matrix type liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The light shielding film 121 which shields the light from a back surface of a transparent insulating substrate 111 in P-N joint parts 122 and 123 which exist in a boundary portion of an active layer 113, a source area 114 and a drain area 115, and does not shield the light from the back surface of the transparent insulating substrate 111 in the area except the P-N joint parts 122 and 123 directly under active layer 113, is formed on the transparent insulating substrate 111. |
