A system and method of creating application maps for site-specific farming. The maps are created using a modular process. The first step is to develop field attribute maps. The field attribute maps contain the various types of agricultural inputs (108, 110, 112) used to create an application map. The second step is to create crop requirement maps. These maps combine the information from the field attribute maps and recommendation equations (124). The last step is to create an application map. The application map (138, 140, 142) combines the crop input requirements and product inputs to create a blend of commercial products.
