PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a detected signal which is unnecessary actually is taken in a control device in measuring a temperature when measuring a temperature by using an infrared sensor. SOLUTION: A temperature measuring device 20 is so structured that transmission of an infrared ray radiated from a measuring object is taken in by an infrared sensor 25 while a shutter 24 switches the transmission with a cycle Ts for opening and closing the shutter, and includes a peak hold circuit 27 for performing a peak hold process to a detected voltage Vi outputted by the infrared sensor 25 with a peak hold cycle Th longer than the cycle for opening and closing the shutter 24, and a control device 28 for taking in a hold voltage Vh held by the peak hold circuit 27 with a taking cycle Tr. The control device 28 takes in the hold voltage Vh held by the peak hold circuit 27 with the taking cycle Tr longer than a cycle Ts for switching the shutter. The taking cycle Tr of the hold voltage Vh from the peak hold circuit 27 to the control device 28 is longer than a swing cycle Ty of the measuring object.
