PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure and mounting method facilitating the mounting of a vehicular exterior member as a side spoiler having a long straight part with excellent rigidity. SOLUTION: In this mounting structure of the vehicular exterior member 10 mounted so as to be in contact with a part of a vehicle body 2 within the apparent surface, a metallic support member 20 having a curved surface part 23 fastened to the body along the curved surface of the body 2, a groove part 26 for inserting a part of the exterior member 10 and a flange part 21 making contact with the inside of the exterior member 10 is used, the support member 20 is preliminarily fastened to a part of the body 2, and an adhesive double coated tape 30 is stuck to the flange part 21, whereby the exterior member 10 is mounted.
