METHOD FOR DETECTING TRAVELING SPEED OF VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A method for detecting a traveling speed of a vehicle is provided to detect easily the traveling speed of the vehicle by analyzing a variation of inductance detected from an inductive loop coil. CONSTITUTION: An information detection portion collects frequency information according to a variation of inductance from an inductive loop coil which is buried into a road(S101). An information process portion performs a normalization process for horizontal and vertical components of the frequency information(S102). The sorts of vehicles are identified by using vehicle sort data of a database memory portion(S103). A traveling speed of the identified vehicle is detected by analyzing a variation of inductance for the identified vehicle on the basis of a reference value(S104,S105). The detected information is transmitted to a traffic control center(S106).
