PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationic electrodeposition coating capable of forming on an untreated steel plate a coating film excellent in rustproof properties and smoothness without introducing a harmful substance such as a lead compound, a chromium compound or the like. SOLUTION: The cationic electrodeposition coating comprises (A) a resin for a cationic electrodeposition coating, (B) condensed aluminum phosphate and/or a zinc compound and (C) aluminum oxide and/or aluminum hydroxide.
