PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a target toner image so as to be free from cleaning defect, in the image forming device capable of performing the image density automatic adjustment by forming the target image on the inter-image part and detecting the density thereof. SOLUTION: This image forming device is allowed to operate a before- transfer charge removing device capable of removing the charge to a potential level being free from causing cleaning shortage on the toner image where the target electrostatic latent image is developed, with respect to the inter-image part forming the target electrostatic latent image, after forming the target electrostatic latent image in the inter image part, and to keep a transfer charging device out of the operation. Accordingly, since the sticking force of the target toner image formed on the inter-image part with regard to the photosensitive body is weakened, cleaning is facilitated and the cleaning defect on the target image is prevented from occurring, even dispensing with any supplemental charge removing means. |
