The invention concerns an edible composition characterised in that it contains micronised nacre powder so that it has about 60 %, preferably at least about 70 % and more preferably still at least about 80 % of nacre particles having a size ranging between about 40 and about 190 mu m used as calcium supplementation in the human or animal organism.
