The heat regulator consists of a heat pump (12) and principal circuit to transfer heat from a cold source (16) towards a hot source (18). The cold source consists of a primary heat exchanger (24), which couples thermally the principal circuit to a premier secondary cooling circuit (26). The secondary cooling circuit comprises a connecting valve (40,52,54) to select between the upstream end (48A) and downstream end (48B) of a branch (48) of a cooling circuit (46) for the IC engine of the vehicle.
