PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain information corresponding to a selected prescribed position by selecting the prescribed position in an image in accordance with a user's request. SOLUTION: A server 106 retrieves the header of a work information structure having a code coincident with a code transmitted from a portable telephone 100 from a data base 107 storing plural work information structures. Picture data, text data and a voice guidance code for the work are read out from the structure and transmitted to the telephone 100 (steps S801, S802). When a user specifies an area 202a e.g. in an image 202 through an operation part 102, the server 106 reads out each data requested from the telephone 100 from the data base 107 and transmits the read picture data (partial image 202a) and the text data of an interpretation document 203a to the telephone 100 (steps S803, S804).
