PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to apply a thinner film coating on a base material by means of direct coating without using a solvent and to provide a thin film coating base material with excellent uniformity of thickness and adhesive properties on the base fabric and by high productivity with a little loss. SOLUTION: A method for forming a coating film wherein a molten thermoplastic elastomer is fed into a die coater apparatus equippecl with a gear pump and the thermoplastic elastomer is applied for coating on a base material from the die coater and a coating apparatus are provided.
