摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing and decontaminating dioxins adhering to interior and exterior surfaces of facilities in situ by direct decomposition, which is different from a method for scrubbing dioxins and causing secondary pollution. SOLUTION: To decontaminate dioxins adhering to the surface of facilities such as an apparatus and a building (e.g. a chimney), at first, the object part to be decontaminated (an inner wall face 2) is made to be an approximately closed space and then a dioxin decontamination agent 5 is introduced into the closed space and the dioxin decontamination agent 5 is brought into contact with the object part to be treated. As the dioxin decontamination agent, preferable to be used is a reaction catalyst of a metal ion whose valence is changeable from a low value to a high value and dissolved in an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution.
