PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiobestic drug not only capable of enhancing the antiobestic effect but also capable of enhancing the effect for reducing the amounts of a cholesterol, a lipid peroxide and a triglyceride, and further to provide a method for producing the drug. SOLUTION: This antiobestic drug contains not only chitosan but also at least one kind selected from an essence of red grapes, an essence of artichoke, and an essence of dandelion. The essence of the red grape, the essence of the artichoke, and the essence of the dandelion are obtained by extracting the pericarp and seed of the red grape, the roots or the whole plants of the artichoke and the dandelion respectively with a hydrophilic solvent comprising ethanol or water respectively. The content of the chitosan is preferably 10-50 wt.% when the drug is dried and pulverized. The antiobestic drug can be produced by dissolving each of the components in the hydrophilic solvent, and sufficiently stirring the components in the hydrophilic solvent. |
