PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove unpleasant feeling caused by close adhesion to the skin and improve skin feeling when the ear band is put on and comes into contact with the skin. SOLUTION: The ear band for the guard cap is equipped with a pair of attaching parts 1, 2 having the openings (1a, 2a) through which the connection material for the protective cap (30) is inserted, and the connector (3) for jointing the ends of the arms (4, 5). The attaching parts (1, 2), the arms (4, 5) and the linking part (3) are integrally formed whereby the mechanical strength of the ear band for the protective cap is increased and the feeling to the skin is improved. When the protective cap (30) is set to the head of the wearer, the arms (4, 5) and the linking part (3) are set to the circumference of the ears of the cap bearer. The connector (8) to which jaw strap (6) is jointed is slidably fitted to the linking part (3).
