PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically controlled centering and gripping device directly connected to an automatic electrical apparatus or a computer having a programmable robot or a proper interface. SOLUTION: This centering and gripping device is provided with a mechanism, whose translation is allowed partially at least, and electrical operation means 2, 32 and used especially for a piece positioning, holding, or gripping a vehicle body part metallic sheet in an automobile. This mechanism and the electrical operation means 2, 32 are mounted in the head-to-tail structure, and the size of device main bodies 1, 31 is reduced. |
