PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-purpose shelf for which work taking time and labor is not required and costs are reduced while making a shelf plate light in weight. SOLUTION: In this multi-purpose shelf 1 for which the shelf plate 3 provided with insertion holes 3a for inserting columns 2 are fixed to the plural columns 2 at an optional height position by interposing fitting members 4 between the insertion holes 3a and the columns 2, an exterior plate 14 is stuck to the surfaces of base plates 12 and 13 for which the shelf plate 3 is a core material. The base plates 12 and 13 are constituted of a frame part 15 and a reinforcing part 16 disposed inside the frame part 15 that are integrally molded by plastic, waste paper or wood fibers.
