PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oily substance recovering apparatus capable of enhancing oily substance recovering efficiency. SOLUTION: When a drum 30 is rotated in an arrow F3 direction, a plurality of blades 34 protruding from both side faces of the drum 30 scratch waste water W to cause water flow in directions of arrows F5, F6, F7, F8, F4 so that the oily substances P floating on the waste water W ride on the water flow and are transferred to a lower part of the drum 30. The substances adhere on an outer periphery of the drum 30 and scraped off by a scraper 40 at an upper part of the drum 30 so as to be recovered in a tank 50. That is, since the oily substances are allowed to ride on the water flow to be transferred to the drum 30, the oily substance recovering efficiency is enhanced.
