DATA BACKUP/RECOVERY SYSTEM

摘要

A data backup/recovery system comprises a primary system for data update and a secondary system for data backup. The secondary system is installed near the primary system or at a place remote therefrom. The secondary system has the same logical structure as that of the primary one and acquires the latest data in real time to backup the data. The state of the primary system can be returned to the one at a past arbitrary time point with reference to the update history that the secondary system has. By using the secondary system as a reference system, load distribution is realized; and by stopping the backup operation of the secondary system and then separating it from the on-line processing system, it can be used as a reference batch processing system.
