Adhesive tape comprises a stretched thermoplastic film, a primer layer, a release layer and an adhesive layer. Adhesive tape comprises, in sequence: (A) a stretched thermoplastic film; (B) a primer layer that covers only part of the surface of the thermoplastic film and is securely bonded to the thermoplastic film; (C) a release layer that covers the whole surface of the primer layer and thermoplastic film and adheres better to the primer layer than to the thermoplastic film; and (D) an adhesive layer that cover the whole surface of the release layer and adheres better to the release layer than the release layer adheres to the thermoplastic film.
