PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture absorbing processing agent not generating precipitation or white turbidity in an aqueous solution, having no irritant smell and imparting sufficient hygroscopicity and the durability thereof to a hollow fiber when charged in the hollow part of the hollow fiber to be polymerized and gelatinized. SOLUTION: The moisture absorbing processing agent contains an acrylic acid derivative and/or a methacrylic acid derivative as a main component and 90 mol% or more of the acrylic acid derivative and/or the methacrylic acid derivative is potassium and lithium salts and a mol ratio of the potassium salt and the lithium salt is 9/1-4/6.
