PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of obtaining and displaying the exact residual amount of toner. SOLUTION: This printing device is equipped with a first storage means 3 for storing plotting data for outputted paper of one page, a count device 5 for calculating the number of dots equivalent to printing from the value of the number of bits of the plotting data and a voltage value outputted from a voltage control means 8 controlling voltage at which toner is stuck every time the plotting data in the first storage means 3 is transmitted to a video signal output means 4 and adding the number of dots obtained this time to the number of dots obtained until previous time, a second storage means 6 for storing the number of dots, a CPU 9 for obtaining the residual amount of toner from the total number of dots which can be printed with the amount of toner contained in a new toner cartridge and the number of dots stored in the second storage means, and a display device 7 displaying the residual amount of toner. |
