METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FLAT CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive flat cable by saving a sheath in manufacturing processes. SOLUTION: A reverse-side sheath 12 having a width Wa corresponding to the width of a cable is continuously pasted to a core wire 10 in the longitudinal direction while drawing the core wire 10 from a preset drawing position. On the other hand, a wide surface-side sheath 14 having a width Wb corresponding to a line length of a product cable is drawn perpendicularly to the drawing direction of the core wire 10, and then it is cut at the same size as the width Wa of the reverse-side sheath 12 for pasting both sheaths to each other. The surface-side sheath 14 is uncontinuously pasted at preset intervals to the core wire 10 in the longitudinal direction. The reverse-side sheath 12 and the core wire 10 are cut between the adjacent surface-side sheaths 14 (exposed portions of the core wire).
