PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device having an excellent sealing performance of a window in a closed state regardless of the window height with a small operating force regardless of the window height. SOLUTION: This is a lock device for a window to lock a shoji screen 2 to a window frame 1, which can be opened by rotating about a vertical shaft. It comprises a linking member 9 provided at the edge portion at the open side of the shoji screen 2, a cam 14 corresponding to the linking member 9 provided at the left window frame member IC, a movable member 12 provided in a freely movable manner up and down between the window frame 1 and the open side edge of the shoji screen 2 in closed state, a hook 10 attached to the movable member 12 in a freely oscillating manner and making a pair with the linking member and the cam 14, and a cam follower 10d fixed to a hook 10. When the hook 20 moves upward or downward, the hook 10 oscillates and the linking member 9 and the hook 10 link together and have a locked state.
