METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING DATA STREAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an Ethernet (registered trademark) data rate being 10 GB/ second in a LAN configuration while using a standard QC-192 line rate being a 9.95328 G baud. SOLUTION: In a transmission side interface, an Ethernet data stream is compressed and the compressed data stream is mapped into a synchronous container. The synchronous container transmits the compressed data stream to a receiving side interface via a network fabric. In the receiving side interface, the compressed data stream is extracted from the received synchronous container, and the compressed data stream is expanded to restore the original Ethernet data stream.
