PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the driving circuit of a display panel which is capable of achieving high integration of the panel and is capable of reducing power consumption of the panel by enhancing the efficiency of energy while performing a selective driving with effective data after recovering energy selectively. SOLUTION: This driving circuit is provided with a plasma display panel 9, power source switches SW1, SW2 switching power source voltages, a scan drive IC10 and a data drive IC11 for driving the panel 9 and energy recovering parts 16, 17 which recover electric charges charged on panel capacitors of the panel 9 via the first routes of respective IC10, IC11 by being connected to the switches SW1, SW2 and the drives IC10, IC11 in common and which supply the electric charges to the panel 9 via the second routes of the drives IC10, IC11 when the panel 9 is re-driven.
