MEASURING METHOD FOR UNEVEN BRIGHTNESS OF METAL PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively measure the uneven brightness of a stainless steel plate by using a simple optical system and a process logic. SOLUTION: The stainless steel plate 10 is irradiated in the plate width direction with a uniform light from a halogen rod-like light source 12. The intensity of diffused reflected light on each position N in the plate width direction is detected at an acceptance angle of 70 deg. or larger by a one-dimensional CCD camera, and the uneven brightness is measured based, on a distribution of the detected intensity of the diffused reflected light in the plate width direction.
